Still to Come: Looking Forward to the Next 25 Years in the Movement for HIV and LGBT Equality

The National LGBT Bar Association, a national association of lawyers, judges, law students, activists, and legal organizations, is hosting it's annual Lavender Law conference in San Francisco, CA, at the Marriott Marquis Hotel on August 22-24, 2013. CHLP's Legal Director, Iván Espinoza-Madrigal, will be participating in a plenary session titled, "Still to Come: Looking Forward to the Next 25 Years."

This general attendance session will focus on the future of the movement for LGBT and HIV equality. Despite reaching unprecedented levels of equality and acceptance in 2013, there is still much to be done. CHLP's Legal Director will discuss the victories the LGBT and HIV community should look towards in the next 25 years, and how we can build on the success of the past to achieve full equality in the future. Other panelists include Jennifer Pizer, Director of Lambda Legal's Law & Policy Project; Shannon Minter, the Legal Director of the National Center for Lesbian Rights; and Prof. William Eskridge of Yale Law School. This plenary is scheduled for Saturday, August 24, 2013, at 9 AM.
