Comic George Lopez Encounters CHLP Volunteer: CHLP Benefits

When comedian and Lopez Tonight talk-show host George Lopez, entered the press room at the January 6, 2010 People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles, and immediately launched into a bit taunting photographers with a $100 bill, he hadn't counted on resourceful CHLP volunteer Ariel Ramerez being present.

But he was! And Ariel, who photographs entertainment events in addition to CHLP events, is never one to pass up an opportunity. Ariel stepped right up and claimed the cash for CHLP.

"When Lopez jumped off the stage, offering money to press room photographers, I had the good thought to extend my hand and tell him I could put it to good use," Ariel tells us.

We here at CHLP appreciate Mr. Lopez's humor and generosity and encourage him to continue this practice – especially whenever Ariel is in attendance!
