New Rules to Protect Reproductive Health Care Privacy: Rapid Review for Advocates
On Monday, April 22, the Biden Administration released a long-awaited final rule to strengthen privacy protections for reproductive health care information. According to the new rule, HIPAA will now protect medical records for out-of-state abortions from law enforcement. The law will take effect in 30 days.
