Aging & HIV: Where Are We Now?

Join members of CHLP’s Aging Advisory Board for this webinar centering the experiences of people living and aging with HIV in looking at the past, present, and future. The webinar will address challenges, policy and healthcare interventions, and advocacy for each period.
- The first segment, Where We’ve Been – The History & Lessons, explores the history of aging with HIV, focusing on lessons learned from the past and how they inform the current needs for policy reform, featuring voices from longtime advocates and survivors.
- The second section, Re-Entry & Socialization – How Do We Reconnect?, addresses the current challenges faced by those living and aging with HIV rebuilding life after incarceration, focusing on healthcare, housing, employment, mental health, and advocacy—particularly for trans individuals.
- The third section, The Future – Where Are We Going?, looks ahead, emphasizing the need for legal protections, intergenerational collaboration, and action against ageism.
