CHLP Executive Director S. Mandisa Moore-O'Neal will speak on a panel entitled, “History of the Civil Rights Movement in the South and How it Impacts HIV Disparities Today” on Wednesday, December 11 at PACHA's 83rd full council meeting in Montgomery, Alabama. The two-day meeting will focus on civil rights and the connection to health justice and HIV disparities, particularly in the South.

The Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (PACHA) is a Federal Advisory Committee that provides advice, information, and recommendations to the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) regarding programs, policies, and research to promote effective treatment, prevention, and cure of HIV and AIDS, including considering common co-morbidities as needed to promote effective HIV diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and quality services.
