Employment and Living with HIV/AIDS: A Resource Guide, United States Department of Labor (2012)
This resource guide from the United States Department of Labor provides useful information for people with HIV seeking to begin or return to work. In addition to explaining laws that protect from discrimination based on HIV status, the guide gives good starting points for job searching, including information for government jobs, and provides information concerning issues such as Supplemental Security Income/Social Security Disability Insurance (SSI/SSDI), disclosure of HIV status to employers, reasonable accommodations, insurance coverage, job-training programs and other employment services, and resources and incentives to support employers hiring and maintaining employees with HIV.
