Aging & HIV Webinar Title, Dates, Presenter Headshots and CHLP Logo

Aging with HIV is an experience that varies greatly from person to person. Some people living with HIV, known as lifetime survivors or Dandelions, were born with the virus and have lived with it their entire lives. Others contracted HIV decades ago as younger adults and are now navigating the aging process. A growing population of people acquired HIV after the age of 50, and now face their own set of challenges. Regardless of when one acquired HIV, each person's experience of aging after a diagnosis is shaped by their individual circumstances and identity–race, class, gender, sexuality, and geography are a few of the characteristics that contribute to one’s experience of the journey, particularly to access to healthcare. In this webinar, we’ll delve into these diverse journeys and explore the different perspectives of those aging with HIV.
