New Pride Agenda: HIV Criminalization In The Age of Mass Surveillance

CHLP Policy and Advocacy Manager Amir Sadeghi will present on repealing STI criminalization at New Pride Agenda's upcoming Let's Talk About It x RISE HIV criminalization workshop on April 8 in New York City.

More than 30 states have HIV criminalization laws. While New York does not have an HIV-specific criminal law, there are public health laws that criminalize sexual activity.

This workshop will examine how those carceral approaches undermine public health, promote stigma and discrimination, and harm people most impacted by HIV -- including LGBTQ+ people and people of color -- and learn how to organize to fight back and repeal these discriminatory laws.
