CHLP and BOOM!Health’s Go Girl! Program to Hold Youth Advocacy Corps Event in the South Bronx (2014)

The Center for HIV Law and Policy (CHLP) and the Go Girl! sexual health promotion program at BOOM!Health are holding a Youth Advocacy Corps event tomorrow, Tuesday, April 29, 2014 to develop a series of training sessions on sexual health advocacy for youth in state custody. Go Girl! (Girls Outreach: Groups Improve Resiliency Learning) provides young women ages 12 to 17 in the South Bronx with programming on HIV prevention, safer sex, substance abuse awareness, and team-building and peer leadership. Go Girl! is one of several youth outreach programs at BOOM!Health, which is the result of a 2013 merger of CitiWide Harm Reduction Services and Bronx AIDS Services. BOOM!Health delivers a full range of sexual and behavioral health, housing, legal, advocacy, and wellness services to over 8,000 of the hardest to reach communities in the Bronx.
The CHLP/ Go Girl! youth event is Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 4pm at BOOM!Health’s Prevention Center at 953 Southern Blvd., 2nd floor, in the Bronx (6 train to Hunts Point Ave.; 2 train to Simpson St.). For more information, contact Adrian Guzman at [email protected].
