Fleeing for Your Life: LGBT/HIV Refugee and Asylum Claims

Columbia Law School held a workshop on the legal and policy needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) and HIV-affected immigrants on April 22, 2014.  As part of this workshop, CHLP's Legal Director, Ivan Espinoza-Madrigal, discussed detention conditions in immigration facilities focusing on access to medical care for transgender and HIV-affected immigrants.
