Latinos at Risk: HIV Criminalization in the Deep South

Latinos in the Deep South, a program coordinated by the Latino Commission on AIDS, will host a workshop on the impact of HIV criminalization on emerging Latino communities across the U.S. South on August 13, 2013, at 2 PM. As part of this workshop, CHLP's Legal Director, Ivan Espinoza-Madrigal, will address the legal needs of HIV-affected Latinos at the intersection of criminal justice and immigration systems. His discussion will focus on the negative impact of HIV-specific criminal laws on immigration protection and relief. This workshop will be conducted in English and Spanish.
