Letter to members of the Congressional Energy and Commerce Committee, National Coalition to Support Sexuality Education (NCSSE), 2006
This letter, signed by over 65 organizations, including CHLP, protests the federal Department of Health and Human Services' removal of website, hosted by HHS' Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA), that featured basic preventative health information for LGBT individuals. The letter is addressed to members of the Congressional Energy and Commerce Committee which has direct oversight of SAMSHA's work. The letter provides an example of an advocacy tool for the support of accurate preventative health information for LGBT people.
