Settlement Agreement between the United States of America and the Shelby Country District Attorney General's Office under the Americans with Disabilities Act, DJ No. 204-70-85 (May 16, 2024)
On May 16, 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Shelby County, Tennessee, District Attorney General’s Office reached a settlement under which the county will stop prosecuting people living with HIV (PLHIV) using Tennessee’s aggravated prostitution law.
