US Conference of Mayors, Resolution on HIV Criminalization (adopted June 25, 2013).
The U.S. Conference of Mayors passed an HIV anti-criminalization resolution calling for the elimination of HIV-specific criminal laws on June 25, 2013. The resolution endorses the recommendations of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (PACHA) for ending federal and state HIV-specific criminal laws, prosecutions, and civil commitments, and supports legislation, such as the REPEAL HIV Discrimination Act, that advances these goals.
