WRI Annual Meeting
CHLP Executive Director S. Mandisa Moore-O'Neal will be attending the Women's Research Initiative on HIV/AIDS Annual Meeting in Charleston from March 22 to 24. She will participate in a presentation on HIV criminalization at 10:00am with Kamaria Laffrey of SERO in conversation on the topic: HIV Criminalization: What it can teach us about newer policy.
The Well Project founded the Women's Research Initiative on HIV/AIDS (WRI) in 2003 to advocate for "more, better and faster research" in HIV in women. The WRI brings together an extraordinary group of leaders in HIV to identify key opportunities to accelerate our understanding of HIV disease in women.
Each year, the WRI convenes a meeting to address a specific topic area, bringing together WRI members and attendees who represent the broad range of fields engaged in this work, including clinical care, HIV research, academia, advocacy, policy, government, the pharmaceutical industry, and women living with HIV.
