Attorneys as Advocates: Supporting LGBT/HIV Legislative Campaigns

The National LGBT Bar Association is a national association of lawyers, judges, law students, activists, and legal organizations, hosting it's annual Lavender Law conference in New York City, at the Sheraton Times Square on August 21-23, 2014. At this national conference, CHLP's Legal Director, Iván Espinoza-Madrigal, will be conducting a work- shop titled Attorneys as Advocates: How Attorneys Can Support Legislative Campaigns on LGBT/ HIV Issues on Friday, August 22, 2014, at 2:30 PM.

Using state advocacy campaigns as case studies and examples, this workshop will address the roles lawyers can play to support legislative campaigns for LGBT/HIV rights. The workshop will draw from CHLP's state advocacy toolkits and guides, particularly This is How We Win: A Toolkit for Community Advocates.
