Housing
Stable, affordable housing is essential to HIV prevention and the health of people living with HIV. Without it, access to health care and drug therapies is significantly compromised. Because of limited ability to work, high medical costs, and other compounding factors, people with HIV often struggle in their attempts to secure and maintain stable housing.
This HIV Policy Resource Bank category includes court decisions, sample pleadings, articles, and other materials that speak to the housing needs of the HIV community, and address remedies, such as the provisions of the Fair Housing Act, that exist to help overcome discrimination and other barriers to housing.
