The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), a PJP Organizational Member, is hosting its' 37th Annual National Training Conference and Exhibition in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 3-7. During the conference, Rashida Richardson, CHLP Staff Attorney and PJP State Advocacy Chair, will present on HIV criminalization focusing on how law enforcement professionals can participate in advocacy efforts in their state.
On August 7, 2013 Health Action Radio on WWRL(AM 1600) held its final show of the summer recapping highlights from previous shows and offering a "freestyle" discussion on health issues affecting the black community and advocacy around health-related issues. 
CHLP's Youth Advocacy Corps and the Liberation in Truth Social Justice Center will hold a training session on HIV criminalization open to young people in Newark and neighboring communities. 
CHLP's Youth Advocacy Corps and Project Living Out Loud (LOL) at the Hyacinth AIDS Foundation will hold a training session on HIV criminalization open to young people in Jersey City and neighboring communities.
CHLP's Youth Advocacy Corps and the Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI) will hold a training session on HIV criminalization open to young people in Newark and neighboring communities. 
Translatinas of New York and AIDS Center of Queens County will host a discussion on the rights of transgender and HIV-affected people at the intersection of immigration and criminal justice systems. As part of this event, CHLP will conduct a workshop in Spanish on the negative impact of HIV-specific criminal laws on immigration protection and relief. 
People at risk of arrest and prosecution based on their HIV status should be familiar with CHLP's Positive Justice Project 
NTN24 featured in-depth analysis from CHLP Legal Director Iván Espinoza-Madrigal on the impact of sequestration and Congressional budget cuts on the movement for HIV equality, particularly for people of color and immigrants. This programming, aired on July 23, 2013, across the United States and Latin America, will be in Spanish.
